Functional Abilities Evaluation

The Functional Abilities Evaluation (FAE or FCE) is an objective assessment of a person’s ability to perform a physical task.

In particular, the FAE determines if a person can physically perform his or her job. Establishes his or her functional strength deficit. Indicates the level of effort while doing physical work, and makes recommendations for an appropriate course of rehabilitation if required.
Our system gathers information using three models: a soft-tissue model through a musculoskeletal evaluation; a functional model through a functional abilities evaluation; and a secondary gain model through comprehensive validity criteria embedded in the assessments.
